This book is a wonderful tool to use in telling your child about God and what He is like. While my primary goal is to introduce God and tell of His majesty to my toddler, I myself was reminded of who and how God is towards us.5/5(41). It is very difficult to explain God to a young child and this book certainly makes it much easier.

Beverly Lewis does a wonderful job with this subject. I look forward to sharing this book with several young friends as well as a grandchild coming my way. Lewis also did a beautiful explanation of heaven for children with "What is Heaven Like"/5(23).

Dr. Craig's "What is God Like" series is the greatest children's book series I've found about God. More than a toddler Bible story book, of which I have many versions, the "What is God Like" books give young children (and their parents) the most biblically accurate view of God/5(20).

New York Times bestselling author Craig Groeschel What is God like? book the founding and senior pastor ofan innovative and pacesetting church meeting in multiple locations around the United States and globally online, which also created the popular and free YouVersion Bible app.

He is /5(18). [Hill's] new offering, What's God Really Like?, is the What is God like? book representation yet of a God that many Christians have never known. It's the kind of book that has the potential to change your life, and it contains a message that can change the world.5/5(18).

The “What is God Like?” children’s book series by William Lane Craig is a great resource for Christian parents. These books teach the attributes of God (e.g. love, goodness, power, etc.) in a way that even young children can begin to understand/5(37). the what is god like. Craig’s “What is God Like?” children’s book collection is an easy-to-understand, Christ-centered way to teach children of the attributes of God.

William Lane Craig has provided these illustrated teaching tools as a way to answer some of the profound questions the child in your life might ask. What Does God Look Like. What Does God Look Like. - Comparison to Man Ask children, “What does God look like?” and their responses usually include: “He is very old, has a long white beard, bushy white hair, and wears a flowing white dress or robe.” Frequently cartoonists add.

Answer: God is a spirit (John ), and so His appearance is not like anything we can describe. Exodus tells us, “You cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” As sinful human beings, we are incapable of seeing God in all His glory.

His appearance is utterly unimaginable and too glorious to be safely perceived by sinful man. This second booklet "God Is Everywhere" is about what theologians call God's "omnipresence" (God's being all-present).

Our story helps us avoid two errors in thinking about God: thinking that God is localized in a place like heaven and thinking that God is spread throughout space like an invisible gas.

The Bible is like What is God like? book instruction book for His human creation, and it tells us what we need to know to approach the Almighty God and really get to know Him. It shows that God is love, and God the Father “so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John ).

God Don't Like Ugly (God Don't Like Ugly, #1), God Still Don't Like Ugly (God Don't Like Ugly, #2), God Don't Play (God Don't Like Ugly, #3), God Ain't Author: Mary Monroe. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him (1 John ).

Love involves other attributes of God including grace, kindness, and mercy. God Is A Consuming Fire The Bible also describes God as a consuming fire. For our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews ). Fire is not God; God is like fire. But beware of wasting your time on theological foam and suds.

Read rich doctrinal books about the one who called you to his glory and excellence (2 Peter ). Now, I know what you are thinking: I don’t have the time or the ability to get anywhere in books like that. So, I want to show you something really encouraging.

God is a living Person who knows and loves every one of us. God is pleased when we want to know Him. Above all, God wants us to love Him with all our heart.

Although God is a Person, He does not have a body like we have. God is spirit. We cannot see that which is spirit. When God made you, He gave you a body. He also gave you a spirit. The prophet Isaiah wrote, “I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, ‘My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’” (Isaiah –10).

The God Particle: If the Universe Is the Answer, What Is the Question. is a popular science book by Nobel Prize-winning physicist Leon M. Lederman and science writer Dick Teresi. The book provides a brief history of particle physics, starting with the Pre-Socratic Greek philosopher Democritus, and continuing through Isaac Newton, Roger J.

Boscovich, Michael Faraday, and Ernest Rutherford Author: Leon M. Lederman, with Dick Teresi. Thinking correctly about God is of utmost importance because a false idea about God is idolatry.

In PsalmGod reproves the wicked man with this accusation: “You thought I was altogether like you.” To start with, a good summary definition of God is “the Supreme Being; the Creator and Ruler of all that is; the Self-existent One who.

The Bible is a story of God’s relationship with mankind, and most books put God front and center. For example: The prophets are God’s mouthpieces: the last 17 books of the Old Testament are mostly words straight from God.; The Gospels focus on Jesus’ life and ministry.

Jesus, the God-man, is the main character in all four books. The first person to use the term god-complex was Ernest Jones (–51). His description, at least in the contents page of Essays in Applied Psycho-Analysis, describes the god complex as belief that one is a god.

Abnormal psychology. Superiority complex. Cult of personality. Grandiose delusions. Mental health of Jesus. Messiah complex. 20 The Bible truly is a book from God. He wants you to read it, study it, and love it. Be thankful for this gift, and keep studying it. Then you will understand God’s purpose for humans.

In the next chapter, we will learn more about this purpose. ^ par. 6 Some people say that the Bible is not harmonious, but that is not true. See chapter 7 of.

And we can’t see God because of our sinfulness. So while we are here on earth, we cannot see Him; we cannot know what He looks like, even though He is present with us. However, we see the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible.

Now there is good news. God loved us and He had a plan that would save us. God is All-Good Our seventh booklet "God is All-Good" raises profound and very important questions about the foundation of moral values.

Papa Bear maintains that without God moral values and duties have no foundation and are therefore just subjective matters of opinion. Answer: The Bible, God’s Word, tells us what God is like and what He is not like. Without the authority of the Bible, any attempt to explain God’s attributes would be no better than an opinion, which by itself is often incorrect, especially in understanding God (Job ).

The phrase ‘Kingdom of God’ (also ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ or ‘Kingdom of Light’) appears more than 80 times in the New Testament. Most of these references occur in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and the exact term is not found in the Old Testament, the existence of God’s Kingdom is expressed similarly in the Old Testament.

Redeeming Love is one of those must-read romances worth reading at least once There are two versions of Redeeming Love. This is a review of the original version. The version is basically the same as the original, but was edited to remove any descriptions of the love scenes and any coarse language to make it suitable for the Christian /5.

God Don't Like Ugly book. Read reviews from the world's largest community for readers. New York Times bestselling author Mary Monroe sweeps readers b /5. The God of the Bible is not merely one of a plethora of gods from which we may pick and choose to worship nor is He to be put on par with other supposed deities.

He is the omnipotent Creator and Redeemer of mankind. The Creator has revealed Himself in both science and history, and the two subjects are intertwined. Issue 1: God Is Spirit "What Is God Like?" is a series of ten illustrated booklets designed to help you teach Christian truth to your children and to answer some of their deepest questions about God.

This first booklet "God Is Spirit" is about what theologians call the "incorporeality" of God (God. God is a Father who has a purpose—a plan—for every human being who has ever lived.

That purpose is to become, eventually, in the working out of God’s plan, the spirit-born sons and daughters of God—children in that same family that now consists of the Father and the Son (Genesis ; 2 Corinthians ; Hebrews ; 1 John ).

"What Is God Like?" is a series of ten illustrated booklets designed to help you teach Christian truth to your children and to answer some of their deepest questions about God.

This fifth booklet, "God is All-Knowing" is about what theologians call God's omniscience. "How can Jesus be God if Jesus is God's son?" I didn't know how in the world I was going to even attempt to explain the Trinity to a little girl when it's so tough to wrap my own mind around it.

This book offers a simple and understandable way to view the 3 personas as a unified God. I plan on buying the other "What is God Like" books now/5(28).

What is God like. What does God do. “The highest science, the loftiest speculation, the mightiest philosophy, which can ever engage the attention of a child of God, is the name, the nature, the person, the work, the doings, and the existence of the great God whom he calls Father.” ~ C. Spurgeon Over and over in the book of Hosea, God Author: Bethany Darwin.

The Book of God reads like a novel, dramatizing the sweep of biblical events, bringing to life the men and women of this ancient “ a feat of imagination and /5.

God has kept each of his loyal servants in his memory, as if writing their names down in a book, since “the founding of the world” of mankind.

(Revelation ) The faithful man Abel was apparently the first one whose name was recorded in the book of life. (Hebrews ) It is not just a cold list of names, though, for the book of life.God’s Kingdom is a real government established by Jehovah God.

“The kingdom of God” is also called “the kingdom of heaven” in the Bible, since it rules from heaven. (Mark15; MatthewKing James Version) It shares many attributes of human governments, yet it is superior to them in every way. This book is like the literary equivalent of boot camp.

I don't need to read one more "Christian" book that reminds me what a failure I am and how far I fall from the mark. I just don't think God had this type of " evangelism" in mind, call me crazy/5.
